Feng Shui Health Tips Can Change The Way You Lead Your Life

Health is wealth believes many and as we go through life the truth of this saying hits us with great force from time to time. Each time we fall ill or any of our loved ones are sick we feel that the only thing which matters is good health. We know that a little care towards the kind of life we lead will enable us to be healthy and happy individuals but often our busy schedules do not allow us much time for ourselves. As a result health problems have become a common occurrence in every home. Besides negligence on our part, we may fall ill due to certain factors beyond our control like too much imbalance, stress and negativity in our immediate surroundings. Feng shui health tips can help us understand the inexplicable causes that may relate to our health problems.

According to Feng shui, the ancient Chinese practice of balancing the elements to achieve peace and harmony in our lives, health problems occur when our environment is disturbed and we do not realize the imbalance and negativity that we are inviting into our lives consciously or unintentionally. Feng shui health tips can therefore effectively help us in eliminating the negativity in our surrounding space and enhance the positive effects of the four elements like earth, water, air and fire. Feng Shui health tips and rules may often help us understand as to why we tend to fall sick at when we shift to a particular house or change offices or simply when we change the arrangement of furniture and décor of a particular room in our living space.

Feng Shui health tips give great importance to the way we sleep as that is the time when our body is most receptive to energies from our environment. Feng Shui health principles strongly advice against the use and storage of any electronic items in the bedroom as they are known to emit harmful and negative rays that adversely affect the individuals using that room. Also mirrors in the bedroom are best avoided under the Feng shui health tips. This can be explained with the logic that bedroom should be an area of rest and relaxation whereas mirrors are reflectors that will bounce of energies and create too much of energy movement within the room. Hence a bedroom should be devoid of any material that can act as reflectors.

Feng Shui health also recommends that the lighting should be sufficient but never harsh and the colors used on the bedroom walls should be soothing rather than garish. An individual's personal number which is known as the kua number helps a Feng Shui consultant is calculating the relevant direction for one's health. If a person can sleep with his head placed in the right direction and eat his meals facing his health direction it will be tremendously beneficial for the individual's health. Various Feng shui health objects are also easily available in the market like the energy balls, the three immortals, special pebbles and even the lead crystal sphere besides others. If the objects are correctly placed and principles of Feng Shui health are properly implemented, one can be blessed with a healthy, wealthy and long life.

Feng Shui Rules to Live By

Feng shui has been part of Chinese philosophy and it has also worked for people even from other continents. Most of the time, it is applied in decorating the house, arranging furniture, the bedroom, the kitchen and so much more. Feng shui rules can improve the harmony and balance inside the comforts of your own home. One basic feng shui rule is that you must keep the walkway or path to your house clean. Make sure that the grass is well trimmed, the flowers and garden well maintained. It is better if you have lights on the walkway so that your guests would see the path to your house easily during the night.

According to feng shui, this will promote and let the flow of chi enter your home. How can you apply feng shui inside the house? Well, it is easy. Keep the things organized and keep it clean at all times. If your environment is in the right order, the flow of chi would be better. It could uphold enhanced relationships and it could attract the coming of opportunities and wealth. When it comes to the office, there are feng shui rules you can follow to attain a better harmony between your employees and to uphold a better workplace. Like any establishment, the desks and tables should be placed in such a manner that there is the air of comfort and stability. This would definitely promote improved interpersonal relationships and a suitable working environment. A feng shui office does not have long corridors.

Feng shui experts say that having long corridors can make the flow of chi so concentrated in one direction only. The best solution to this is to put plants along the corridor or in along office dividers. In this way, the flow of chi is just deemed enough. Avoid placing the chairs in such a way that it faces sharp edges of cabinets and desks.

Proper lighting is also very crucial because it will let the flow of chi be constant. Poor lighting lets the positive energy be stagnant in one place. And this could lead to the creation of negative energy instead. What should be the arrangement of the furniture? The furniture like the sofa in the waiting area should not be facing any door. Moreover, if you have an office of your own, then you should know some important things. The shapes and colors affect the flow of positive energy. It is best if your office is a square. Irregularly shaped rooms are not very advisable because there could be dark corners that could lead to the creation of negative chi.

In addition, it is best if your room is not very close to the main entrance. But what if the room is already irregular in shape and situated close to the main entrance? Well, there are still solutions to that. Fortunately, there are corrective measures to cope up with these circumstances. Place plants or hang a crystal ball to properly distribute the flow of chi to the right direction.

Feng Shui Decorating Tips For The Bedroom

Feng Shui: This is the ancient Chinese art of arranging objects, furniture and decor in a fluidly moving way. This method is used in creating a positive energy space of yin and yang with the flow of chi. In doing so, it is believed that the rest of your life will follow in harmony as your home living environment is.

Let's start with materials. They say that metal objects will interrupt the frequency of positive energy, so try to refrain from having any metal objects in your room. Wood is a much more natural element and gives a better vibe to your living environment; it also gives you more choices of color and allows for variety in the different types of wood you can choose.

When choosing colors, it is best to keep them consistent throughout your room. This will give your room that flowing look and feel. If you use a colorful duvet (comforter) with a pattern, you can break it up by folding the top back for that solid color or folding the flat sheet over. Using those same colors in your curtains or shades will help with the color consistency.

A Feng Shui bedroom can only be completed with a chair or other seating arrangement near your closet or to the side of your bed. Use the same wood type as you used for your bed, dresser, nightstands and hope chest and the same colors in the drapes, throw rug, lamp shades, duvet, and other fabrics throughout your room.

Designer luxury bedding sets have been an ever-increasing desire for many of today's consumers. Tired of simple cotton sheets, homeowners and renters alike are turning to fancy decor and accessories to make their night's sleep as enjoyable as possible. Many people may not think of adding luxurious linens and pillows to their homes because they are quite satisfied with the bedroom sets they already have. But quality bed sets not only has a pragmatic use, but can also be used to beautify your home. If you have a guest bedroom that isn't used daily, choosing unique decor and accessories will catch any guest's eye as they enter your home. More information: Contemporary bedding

Five Important Feng Shui Decorating Tips For Your Home

The ancient Chinese practice of feng shui dates back 3,000 years, and it's still going strong today due its purported capabilities. According to its adherents, the manipulation of a room's design and its interior components can have either a positive or negative effect on your daily existence. Some have invalidated the idea as a pseudoscience, but there is a reason why it attracts so many followers and its premise on the natural order of the world seems to promote a healthy sense of being. If you'd like to give it a try, take a look at some feng shui decorating tips and see if they don't make a difference.

1. Clutter.

This is a big rule, because it's the excess junk that you never use that promulgates negative energy within a space. Throw out those old newspapers, free up the space under your bed with any forgotten storage items, keep your bedroom spare and simple so you can have a stress free night's sleep.

2. Door.

Can you open your door open all the way? Make sure it's well functioning because the door is what allows positive vibes to flow in or bad ones to exit. Also consider what you see once you step through your door, into the room. A focal point ought to be something pleasant or positive such as a loved photograph or painting.

3. Yin Colors.

Though something like magenta paint on the walls might make for a bold, fabulous statement, the rules of feng shui delineate certain colors for certain purposes. Yin colors include blue, black, purple and white shades which are thought to bring harmony and tranquility. Best for places like the bedroom or anywhere else you want to promotes a soothing sensibility.

4. Yang Colors.

These are the more stimulating colors, thought to increase feelings of motivation and enthusiasm. Yellow, and orange for example. This would be a good choice for the home office where the uplift in positive energy could take you a long way.

5. Shape.

Opt for furniture with a minimum of sharp corners. For example, rather than a rectangular dining table, maybe choose a circular or oval shape. The harsh, jarring nature of sharp angles can disrupt the organic flow of good energy in the house. Better to allow it to flow in a gentle, fluid way around the objects in your room.

Naturally, there's no way to measure the actual positive aura in a hard and fast manner, but most of these rules seem to be a common sense approach to creating a pleasant living environment. Give these feng shui decorating tips a try and see if it doesn't make a difference.

Feng Shui Bedroom Design Tips

People living in different parts of the world have different ways of living life. And, they also use different types of methods to make their life easier and better. Feng Shui is one such way of living life.

Feng Shui is a unique combination of science and art that focuses on enriching people's lives in different ways. Feng Shui principles can be employed in the home in various ways. One of these ways is to use these principles while designing your bedroom to create a calm and serene environment that will contribute to a better living experience.

Amongst the most important things when it comes to Feng Shui bedroom design tips is the placement of the bed. Experts suggest that the bed should be kept in the command position. However, in order to understand what the command position is it is imperative to get better understanding of the philosophy itself.

Feng Shui has its roots as an ancient spiritual discipline. The philosophy is to make use of elements that will affect your internal landscape as well as your physical environment. These principles can be employed in your home as well as your office space. The objective is to nourish the heart and soul of the people that will be operating in the environment. This is done by harnessing the positive energy of the universe while blocking out the negative energy.

According to the philosophy, everything in the universe has a certain degree of energy known as "Chi". The manner in which you arrange things in your home has an effect on the flow of this energy. It is important to have things in the right order and of the right materials in order to ensure that this energy flows in a continuous and harmonious manner so as to create a conducive environment. This is especially true when it comes to the bedroom.

Since the bedroom is where you'll be spending your nights, you need to have a proper balance of the two opposite energies known as Yin and Yang. With regards to the placement of the bed, experts in Feng Shui suggest that the bed should be placed opposite the door but not right in front of it. This is what is known as the command position. The best command position is the point that is farthest away from the entrance on a diagnosed access. This will allow you to benefit from the flow of energy that travels through your bedroom.

It is also recommended to have a solid wall behind your bed as you place it in the command position. This will allow you to have a visual command of the entire bedroom space enabling you to get a comprehensive grasp of life in a symbolic manner. Placing your bed in line with the door is not recommended as it exposes you to excessive energy.

Above-mentioned are just some basic Feng Shui bedroom design tips that you can utilize to create an aesthetically appealing bedroom layout along with achieving a fine balance of positive and negative energy in the room.

Feng Shui Your Bedroom - 7 Tips

We spend a third or more of our lives in our bedroom. Most of them are subconscious hours, too, so subtle influences are even more powerful. In feng shui a bedroom influences your relationships, specifically your romantic ones, but many of the cures for this room are simply directed at giving the practitioner a better night's sleep. If you have ever had sustained poor sleep, you know how it can color your whole life. Also, like most of feng shui, while some of the recommendations may seem a little "new agey", there's also an awful lot of commonsense mixed in. Here are a few basic rules for improving the feng shui of your bedroom.

1) Lose the TV. Having a TV in your bedroom is too active, and also a serious distraction from a much more interesting source of entertainment: Your partner. Even if you do not have a partner, if you want one, you need to make room for them in preparation. So keep the TV in the living room. If you absolutely refuse to be without a TV in your bedroom, at least cover it with a scarf or put it in a cabinet so you do not see it when you sleep.

2) Do not work in your bedroom. This a great example of feng shui simply being practical. The active energy of work does not combine well with the passive energy of sleep, so to improve feng shui, either move your home office to another room, or at least conceal it while you sleep. Reading work materials in bed counts -- read on the couch in the living room if you must. It is best for the bed and the bedroom to be for sleeping and intimate time only.

3) Remove mirrors from your bedroom. Mirrors will reflect back your energy and experiences of the past day while you sleep. You want to be clearing your head, getting ready for new days and new things while you sleep, so either remove or conceal all mirrors from your bedroom.

4) Headboards make for deeper sleep. Putting a headboard -- particularly a solid wood headboard -- on your bed will help you feel more grounded and more secure while you sleep and in your waking life.

5) Round side tables are best. Any corner pointing at you in feng shui creates "cutting chi" which is not good for health and is particularly bad while you are sleeping. Find round side tables if you can, or at least cover sharp corners with soft fabric. This, again, is somewhat common sense -- it is not nice to have the possibility of bumping into a sharp corner if you have to get up in the middle of the night.

6) Choose soothing colors. Pastels are best for bedrooms. It does not matter too much whether the colors are warm or cool (except where your bedroom sits in the overall layout of your house). Again, the bedroom is all about relaxation and simplicity. Jarring colors or patterns simply are not restful.

7) Love your artwork. Hang images of you and your partner together in a happy moment. Also pick a beautiful image that makes you feel good, and put it where you will see it first thing when you wake up. Its good to start the day looking at something (and someone) you love.

Katie Hoffman lives in an apartment that uses a large wall mirror in the front entryway to expand the space and bring in some light to the living room. She is also fond of a large round mirror in her kitchen.

Feng Shui Magic Tips to Increase Your Cash Flow and Your Wealth

We could all use some additional money in our lives at all times. Cash and wealth are aspects of our lives that we'd like to see enhanced no matter the season or year. It seems that Feng Shui is able to help us with our goals if we only learn to use it properly.

Feng Shui has entered our lives recently and it seems it is here to stay, so it is useful to get more and more familiar with this ancient Chinese tradition to enhance all aspects of your life.

Based on the Bagua map, Fenghui's map diagram, each room in the house has a wealth corner. For example the wealth and the prosperity corner in the home is the South-East area. To maintain or increase the wealth and cash flow in the home or office, here are a few tips based on this tradition that you can start applying right away.

Clear away all the extra clutter in your home that is no longer useful to you. By clearing your cluttered space you leave the place fresh and invite the positive energy in. Do this de-cluttering process in your whole home, not only in one room.
Water fountains are extremely useful to add in the house because according to Feng-Shui water is an important symbol that brings in positive energy. Avoid though adding water fountains in the bedroom as they will create only worry and sleepless nights. Everywhere else is fair game though.
What goes around, comes around. Feel and display gratitude and if you have a particular saying for what you are grateful, use it in your wealth corner. For example you might have received an award that you are particularly proud of. Hang it in your newly created wealth corner.

Once you declutter your home of excess, of unneeded things and you start organizing your wealth space, you will invite in more opportunities to prosper and flourish. By adding interesting things in your house such as a wall fountain, you not only enhance the positive energy of Feng-Shui, but you also enhance the ambient of your home. To further increase the powerful healing energy, add some crystals or essential oils to the fountain. This should actually double its powerful effect in all aspects of your life.

Feng Shui Love Tips Can Attract Happiness Into Your Personal Relationships

Love can be blind, but it is something that we simply cannot do without. It can come into our lives at any point of time, without warning and we can do nothing to fight this emotion. And why fight against something that makes you feel at the top of the world? However, there maybe some among us, who have not yet found the right partner and Feng Shui love tips, may just be the thing that will help them find love. Every person can apply these tips and balance the environment in and around their living space. It is all about balancing the energies and the various elements like the wind, water, air and fire. Properly balancing the yin (female) and yang (male) vibes around you could lead to much happiness in the areas of health, wealth and personal relationships.

Hence, even if you are planning to attract love into your life or simply want to strengthen the existing bonds, Feng shui could be the best tool for achieving this objective. They give great priority to the way in which you have arranged your home and the different rooms like the bedroom and living room. A soothing shade like pink would be ideal for the bedroom where you could adorn the walls with pictures of you and your partner or all the family members. The furnishings should also be soft without any hard or pointed edges. Avoid placing any electronic items in the bedroom as the energies should not interrupt the peace and tranquility of the room. Peonies play an important role, when you are considering the Chinese practice of Feng Shui love tips to enhance your personal relationship luck.

If you are unmarried you could place the picture of peonies or perhaps the real flowers itself, in your room and you can be sure to meet that someone special pretty soon. Guidelines also suggest that you light up the southwest corner of your home with red lights to attract harmony and love into your lives. You could also get innovative and paint one wall in the southwest in a passionate color like red. If red is too bold for you, then you could consider sticking to yellow or perhaps tone it down completely by opting for white. Framed pictures of loved ones help to further increase the fondness of the family members for each other.

Many other Feng Shui items go a long way in enhancing your love life, only if you have the patience and faith to try it out honestly. A pair of mandarin ducks in the bedroom also symbolizes the married couple and their happiness. Placing crystals in the southwest corner, lighting candles and gifting roses without thorns are simple gestures that help to activate and enhance your personal relationships. However, rather than applying them by gathering them from unreliable sources, consulting a Feng Shui expert is always advisable and the most practical option for all.

Three Tips to Enhance Your Health Luck - Feng Shui Bedroom

Are you sleeping healthily?

Isn't it a wonderful thought that you could improve your health luck by just by sleeping on a bed which is in the right direction within a suitability decorated bedroom?

You can if you follow these tips.

Tip 1. Work out what you want to be or what does better health mean. Does it mean, better physical ability? Does it mean you are free from the symptoms of medical illnesses? Will it mean you can do whatever you want to do physically, you are no longer tired all the time?

Within your bedroom, hang images of what you want to be - running, walking whatever but with a smile and be happy. The sub-conscious brain is very good at connecting these image to the aim or goal.

Tip 2. Clear the clutter in your bedroom. Get rid of all the things lying on the floor, check under the bed, tidy the wardrobe and the drawer units and even the dressing table. All this clutter hinders the flow of energy circulating around the room.

Tip 3. Do you feel drowsy when you just lie on the bed. You then fall asleep very quickly. Your sleep is light and you wake up easily. When you wake up the next morning, you feel as if you have not slept. You wake up drowsy, feeling you have not slept at all. You feel as if you had a bad night.

However, when you sleep in another area of the house or in a hotel, you might say, I have never slept so well.

It is highly likely that you are sleeping on a geopathic stress line. These lines are changes or faults in the earth's structure and affect the environment above the surface. When your body is on the line like sitting or sleeping, you feel drowsy. If you are sitting working on this line, you cannot concentrate. If you are sleeping, the symptoms are described above.

If you are experiencing these symptoms caused by geopathic stress, seek a new location where you do not get these symptoms.

This article is about using the environment and its energy to help improve the health luck of the person using the methods of feng shui. It is the normal practise to work on the whole house but, in this case, the bedroom is a place where the person is static on the bed for at least 7 hours. It is a closed environment. The room can be modified specifically and appropriately for the person's goals and aims.

Feng shui is a Land Management system that originated in China some 4,000 years ago. It is about how the environment be used to improve the welfare of people living within.

Feng Shui Money Tips

Do you know where your financial "power spots" are? The contemporary methods of feng shui associate prosperity issues with the back left corner of any space. Stand at your front door facing into the house; your wealth area is at the back of the house on the left-hand side. There's also a wealth area within each room: facing in from the doorway, it's the corner area in the back of the room on the left-hand side. Where are the wealth areas within your office, living room, kitchen, and bedroom? Now that you've identified your money power spots, here are some quick and easy ways to apply feng shui to these spaces:

1. Clear out any clutter from these important areas. Clutter is a sign of stagnant energy, and clutter in your money power spots can clog up your cash flow. Getting rid of clutter is one of the most powerful ways to shift the energy of your power spots into high gear.

2. Fix things that are broken. Anything that doesn't work as it should is a sign of something wrong in the area of your life that corresponds to that part of your space. Examine each of your money power spots to look for anything that needs repair. It's time to do something about that loose doorknob, non-working light switch, stuck file drawer, or clock that doesn't keep correct time, to name just a few possible examples. Remove items like these from your power spots or fix them so they work properly.

3. Enhance your power spots with symbols of prosperity, such as a bowl of coins (add your loose change to it every day), a "lucky bamboo" plant, or anything that symbolizes success and prosperity to you. There are lots of Chinese luck symbols available, but you don't have to use them unless you want to. A picture of your dream house, or a model of that luxury car you long for, is an effective money symbol because it has personal meaning for you.

4. Accent your money areas with the colors green and purple. Green symbolizes vitality and growth, and purple is the color of wealth. Place a bowl of green and purple grapes (real or artificial) in the wealth area of your kitchen, to symbolize abundance filling your home. If you use real grapes, it's okay to eat them, just add more from time to time so the grapes remain fresh and the bowl is always more than half full.

5. Pay attention to how you handle money every day. Do you keep paper money neatly sorted in your wallet or money clip, or is it jammed in there any old way, or crumpled up at the bottom of your pocket? Clean the clutter out of your purse and wallet, and start handling your money as though you value it.

6. If you neglect your money, it will neglect you, so be sure to balance your checkbook regularly and pay your bills on time. Put your checkbook in an attractive cover (choose green, purple, red, blue, or black) and keep it in the wealth area of your desk - that's the rear left corner again -- or in the wealth area of your office.

7. Live generously. Money is a form of energy, and it needs to flow through your life, not just into it. Hoarding and scrimping work against more coming in, while giving generously within your means makes space for even greater abundance. If you don't yet have ample money to share, give as generously as you can of your time, energy, compassion, and appreciation.

8. Take a few moments every evening to think about all the good things that happened to you today and to express your gratitude for what you have received. Small things count, too, so it's okay if there's little of the spectacular on your list most of the time. It's not what happened that's important; it's getting in the habit of focusing on the positive side of things every day that matters. The more you notice, appreciate, and express gratitude for blessings received, no matter how small, the more good things will come your way, including money.

A true experience of prosperity is determined not by how much money you have, but by how well you notice and enjoy what is already present in your life. The formal name for the wealth area is "fortunate blessings" - as you de-clutter, repair, and accessorize your money power spots keep this broader meaning in mind. When you celebrate being rich in friends and family, or rich with laughter, or the richness of your spiritual life, or even being rich in air and sunshine if nothing else seems to be going well for you today, material blessings will come to you more readily as well.

Organize Your Bedroom Using Feng Shui

Bedroom

Practice good bedroom organizing habits and you will see a huge difference in your ability to relax in your personal living space. Even a small bedroom can benefit from a Feng Shui make over. Remember, size is not as important as position and appearance. Turn your sleeping area into a place that nurtures health and well being in your home.

The Importance of the Bedroom

Those who practice Feng Shui organizational techniques know how important the bedroom is. When you implement good bedroom organize techniques, you can increase the flow of qi, or positive energies, into this often used room. Couples should design a bedroom that promotes sensual energy. In some cases, many Feng Shui practitioners believe that poor bedroom organize choices result in issues between couples. Even if you sleep alone, your bedroom should allow you to get a restful sleep, encouraged through harmonious qi.

Stick with Bedroom Basics

Some people assume that good bedroom organize habits should mean placing as many items in this room as possible. However, this can damage the flow of qi in your sleeping space. Workout equipment, televisions, and similar items can interrupt energy movement and have a negative impact on your bedroom's ability to rejuvenate you.

If you truly want to take on a Feng Shui bedroom organize technique, then make a point to remove these extra items from your sleeping quarters. You do not have to get rid of them, but find other rooms that might be more fitting. Maybe add a workout room to your basement or garage, or place your extra television in a spare room.

Light Variation

Lighting should be a part of your bedroom organizing plan. Although this has nothing to do with making more space, a room's illumination impacts mood. Bedrooms should be given multiple light levels. Consider adding a dimmer switch or another light fixture that offers a different quantity of light from the existing one. This gives you complete control over the atmosphere in this important space in your home. Many Feng Shui practitioners recommend candle light in the bedroom as well. If you are concerned about fire hazards, consider adding a flameless candle that still looks natural.

The Colors of Relaxation

Avoid hectic colors when choosing wall paint or accents for your bedroom. When you revamp your bedroom organizing methods to incorporate Feng Shui, only soft colors should be used. These should soothe and open up the mind. The best choices for walls in a bedroom include neutral tones. These could range from very pale hues to browns.

Furniture Placement in the Bedroom

Determine the best furniture placement in your bedroom. When you work with bedroom organize habits combined with Feng Shui, this should include an easily accessible bed. Position yours in a way that allows you to approach from either side. A pair of nightstands placed on each side of the bed is ideal. Also keep the bed shifted away from the door. Feng Shui generally states that placing the bed directly in line with the door is a poor layout choice.

Let your sleeping area work well for you! This is where you come to rest and relax, so make sure you follow the right bedroom organize tips to create a Feng Shui optimized space. You may not realize just how much your bedroom is affecting your ability to function and feel peaceful each day.

Feng Shui Bedroom Colors, Plants and Mirrors

Few people know what Feng shui is, or that has been practiced in china for over 2000 years. For those who do, this art permeates the entire surroundings of their living quarters, providing comfort and serenity to their lives. Feng shui translated means, "wind and water," but the application of its principles is as diverse as the people who practice this science. Are you thinking about arraigning your bedroom with these principles in mind? Would you like to know what Feng shui bedroom colors work positively on your spiritual energy? Would you like some insights to Feng shui plants, and a Feng shui mirror that will compliment the principles? Then you need to read these resourceful tips on the ultimate bedroom.

Bedroom colors

The bedroom is the one room of the house that you will spend the most of your time in. It is a place that will affect your health and well-being, also serving as private setting for your peace and serenity. The colors that you choose for your bedroom should reflect positively on your spiritual, emotional and sexual energy. The perfect colors for the bedroom are a balance of cool and warm colors. The cool colors of lavender, blues, and grays can be balanced with the warm colors of yellow, pink, and white. Since sleeping is a yin activity, you will want to avoid loud and overpowering colors, but adding a touch of red, the color of warmth and love will do wonders for the bedroom.

Flora and fauna

Your ultimate bedroom should also be adorned with some flowers and plants. Some flowers for consideration are camellia, ginger, orchids, and forsythia. However, since peonies are the symbol of fidelity and marriage, they are the ideal flower for your bedroom decor. These should be set up in pairs as opposed to single plants, and placed in several locations throughout the bedroom. The most auspicious plants of Feng shui plants is the Jade plant, otherwise known as the money plant because its leaves resemble coins or pieces of jade. The Jade plant represents Earth or Metal energy that adds nourishment and stability to your life. Another benefit of the Jade plant is that the Earth Chi will help strengthen relationships.

Mirrors

Humans have been fascinated with mirror images since we first saw our own reflection in water. Mirrors are divided into three general categories concave, convex, and typical mirrors. Concave mirrors produce an upside-down image and are generally used outside for a condensed reflection. Convex mirrors can be used for both inside and outside and has protective qualities. Typical mirrors are defined as having wealth qualities, and come in many different shapes such as oval, round or square and these are ideal for the bedroom. Framing materials can include wood or metal, and gold leaf frames are a beautiful accessory to the bedroom. The area in which you place the mirror is significant. For example, mirrors facing east represent health and family, southeast signifies wealth and abundance, and north will denote career and a path in life.

The Feng shui bedroom colors will affect the quality of rest that you get each night while replenishing your spiritual energy. Feng shui plants such as peonies can adorn the bedroom and strengthen a relationship. And a Feng shui mirror finely framed will bring good luck and fortune to the owner.

Eight Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - Location of the Bed

The bed is where the person rests after a busy day. The location of the bed within the bedroom is as important as the bed itself.

1. Position the bed against wall:

The head of the bed should be located next to the wall with the headboard positioned against the wall. It is not correct for the bed to be "floating" in the middle of the room. Secondly, try not to position the head of the bed next to a window.

2. Away from Door:

In a bedroom, there is usually at least one "natural" position for the bed to be located. This is usually the most suitable place but of course, there are exceptions. The bed should not be placed with the person's feet pointing to the door. In this position, there is just too much energy "hitting" the sleeping body. This can make sleep uncomfortable.

3. Space on both sides of the bed:

Make sure there is space on both sides of the bed, anybody can get on the bed from either side. This essentially is for the energy to flow around the body. Hence the placement of bedside cabinets on both side of the bed to maintain this space. Also, try avoid placing the long side of the bed is against the wall.

4. Check the position of the WC(water closet or toilet):

Make sure that the WC is not on the other side of the wall of the bed. Also, it is not in the room above or below the bedroom. When the WC flushes the water, it is removing energy from the house and also, disrupting the equilibrium of the energy. Therefore, it is best not to have the WC too near the bed.

5. Check the position of the Cooker or the Stove:

The cooker produces heat for the cooking. It disrupts the energy in the home. Therefore, make sure that the cooker is not on the other side of the wall from the bed, or the cooker is above or below the bed.

6. Windows, air conditioners or radiators:

Avoid placing the bed near or next to these items. They affect the flow of energy in the room. Just position the bed some distance from them when you can.

7. Flat and even ceilings:

Position the bed where the ceiling is flat and even. Avoid places where there are beams or protruding coving (for lighting). This alters the energy flow.

8. Overhanging cupboards:

Do avoid fitting cupboard above the head position of the bed. It is quite commonly done as a convenient storage location. As stated previously, it affects the energy flow and hence, the quality of sleep.

Conclusion: The bed is the place for the person to rest. Why not, get the bed in the most suitable location for the best possible environment for the person to rest. This is the place for the body to prepare for the next day.

Feng shui is a Chinese system of land management which developed with rise of Chinese civilisation, more than 40 centuries ago. It is about using the natural energies in the living environment (homes, buildings, towns and cities). Eight Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - The Space Above You

The bedroom is for you to have at least 7 hours of sleep to rest the body and the mind. The person has to be physically and mentally ready for the next day. One consideration for having a good sleep is an even flow of energy around the room.

Let us look at 8 different obstacles that can impede the smooth flow of energy and hence the good nights sleep. Where possible, avoid these situations in your bedroom.

1. Canopy:

A canopy that hangs over the bed; this is commonly seen in 4 poster beds. The canopy creates a small space above the bed where the energy circulates independently of the main energy circulation in the bedroom. The person experiences 2 different energy flows and is liable to poor sleep.

2. Sloping ceiling:

This is observed when the bedroom is in the attic or the loft. The bed is usually located by the wall and where the roof slopes down. The energy would follow the sloping roof and hit the head of the sleeping persons. They do not get a good sleep. They wake up with a "heavy or sore head"

3. Beams on flat ceiling:

Beams on the ceiling are common in old houses or there is an architectural feature in newer homes. The beams disrupt the energy flow at the ceiling level. The flow becomes rough and uneven.

Some observations that I have made:

· A number couples whose marriages broke up. The beam on the ceiling above their bed was located between the two persons.

· A person sleeps with an overhanging beam over a part of a person's body. After quite some time (years), they are likely to have an ailment in that part of the body. For example, the beam is over the person's legs, the person experiences leg problems.

4. Sloping ceiling with beams (a combination of 2 & 3):

The person gets does not get good sleep and could get physical problems.

5. Coving - for recessed lighting:

These ceiling covings are used for recessed lighting. They are positioned near the wall so that the lights can be hidden there. An uneven flow of energy results near the walls.

6. Lighting pendants:

It is not advisable to have these lighting pendants over the sleeping body. They disrupt the flow of energy. Instead of having lighting pendants, use table lamps for lighting up the bedroom.

7. Over hanging cupboards:

In an attempt to get more cupboard space, there has been the increased use of overhanging cupboards positioned over the sleeping person's head. This disrupts the flow of energy movement.

8. Hanging objects:

The use of decorative objects hanging from the ceiling disrupts the energy flow. These objects can include model airplanes, birds, fish or anything that hangs from the ceiling.

Conclusion:

The disruption of smooth and even energy flow results in a poor quality of sleep. With poor sleep, the body is not rested and not prepared for the next day.

The ceiling for creating the ideal space:

It is flat, even and level with no fancy trimmings. The energy can circulate smoothly and evenly all around the room. It is all about simplicity.

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - Redecorate and Re-Energize on a Budget

Wouldn't it be great to create a peaceful oasis in the middle of your busy life? Using these Feng Shui bedroom tips to redecorate your bedroom is a great way to totally change the energy of your bedroom without spending a ton of money.

The goal of decorating a Feng Shui bedroom is to achieve a balanced room,  promoting energy for recuperative sleep and sexual healing. Start with your bed. Experts believe your bed is the single most important piece of Feng Shui furniture in your life! You spend 1/3 of your life there, so it has the closest connection with your personal energy.   What makes a great Feng Shui bed? Start with the mattress/bedding. You want a mattress/bedding that will make you feel cocooned, comfy and provide you with the best night's sleep, since that's the key to good health during the day. Avoid used mattresses, as they retain the energy of the previous owner. Dress your bed in higher thread-count sheets and accessories made from natural fibers so you feel  pampered and comfortable.  Next check your headboard. The best Feng Shui headboards are solid wood or upholstered, since these offer the best combination of support and protection for your head.     Finally, elevate your bed off the floor to promote good energy flow around you while you sleep. Avoid storing things under your bed, which blocks that flow.

The placement of your bed is one of the most important Feng Shui bedroom tips, as you want it to promote a loving and healing energy. Your goal is to find the Feng Shui Command Position - the area diagonal to the door, still in sight, but not directly in line with it. This includes patio, bathroom, and closet doors too. Close all of these doors at night while you sleep to allow for the most beneficial flow of energy to reinforce your good health and relationship health as well.  Place your headboard against a wall for support, and make sure there are no sharp angles from furniture or walls facing your bed.

These Feng Shui bedroom tips will help you decide which furniture and accessories stay and those that go!  Of course you are trying to maintain or attract a healthy relationship. Balance between partners is essential.  This applies to your room as well. Place nightstands on both sides of the bed.  This provides a grounding and balanced energy.  Be sure the art in the room reflects the life you want to be living. Remove depressing, sad or violent art, and replace with relaxing, romantic or sensual art. Also, never place a mirror directly facing the bed. Not only does it drain your personal energy store, but it is thought to bring a "third" person into your intimate relationship - never a good idea!

Fresh air and light are essential to creating a healthy bedroom environment, so ditch the dark, depressing wall color, and open those blinds and windows.  Install a dimmer switch for the main fixture to control the amount of light you need at the time, plus place bedside lamps on both sides of the bed for balance. Ditch fluorescent bulbs!  Use soothing colors  to achieve  balance in your bedroom.   Experts agree that the best Feng Shui bedroom colors are skin colors, which range from pale white to the deepest chocolate brown.  Pick the one that is most soothing for you.

Accessorize your space with candles, crystals and other Feng Shui love symbols. Candles provide a healing glow, and purify the energy of your space. Choose a high quality, toxin-free candle and burn for 15 minutes before you go to bed.    Place a bowl full of rose quartz to encourage love, romance and heal a broken heart.  Plants are not recommended in the bedroom. They release carbon dioxide at night and possess a growing energy, both foils to a good night's sleep.

This section of Feng Shui bedroom tips addresses energy sappers in the bedroom.  Experts recommend you remove these items since they interrupt a healthy energy flow and a good night's sleep: TV, exercise equipment, a home office, and pictures of your friends and family (do you really want them watching you?). If you absolutely can't avoid removing some of these items, consider separating them from the main space using a screen or curtain.

By employing a few Feng Shui bedroom tips, you can inexpensively redecorate your bedroom, completely changing the energy flow, and making it the peaceful, island of tranquility in the sea of your busy life.

Eight Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - The Bed

The bed is where the body rests for at least 7 hours. Therefore, it has to fulfil certain requirements so that the person can have a rest and be rejuvenated for the next day. If there were not these requirements, the floor would then suffice but it does not. It has been found that the various aspects all contribute to a good sleep and hence rest.

1. Solid Headboard: A complete separation between the person and the wall. It creates a secure environment for the person. A solid headboard implies, no gaps or holes but a solid covering be it wood or a fabric covering.

2. Type of bed: A wooden framed bed is preferred. Wood is not only a natural product but a good insulator of heat and electro-magnetic fields (energy). Again, this provides isolation from external influences. As would be expected, a metal framed bed is not recommended.

3. Bunk bed: When you sleep, you want the normal circulation of energy flowing around the person. A structure like a bunk bed would obstruct this flow of energy. Also, the person sleeping on either the upper or lower levels would have a very narrow space above the body. The person would therefore not get good sleep regularly. This applies to a permanent base and not temporary situations like travelling in trains or ships.

4. Firm Mattress It is preferred that the person sleeps on a firm mattress. This provides support for the body and isolation from the environment. A mattress that is not firm is not recommended - like a water-bed or a mattress containing water. It is fluid or not firm.

5. A gap between the bed frame and the floor: There should be clear space between the bed frame which holds the mattress and the floor. This is to allow the energy to circulate around the room un-impeded so that there can be smooth and even flow.

6. Bedside tables: Having these tables is useful, they not only make a space between the bed and say the wall, it provides storage space and hence avoids clutter. This storage space assists in keeping the room tidy and neat. Most importantly, it creates the space that allows the energy to flow around the bed un-hindered.

7. Make up bed every day: A tidy bed when you go to sleep There is nothing worse than getting to an unmade and untidy bed. Also, a made up bed goes to help the room being neat and tidy.

8. Electrical appliances: Avoid placing electrical appliances near the head area of the bed. In general, electrical appliances like radios and mobile telephones emit electromagnetic radiation (radio waves) and these electrical energies affect the functioning of the brain. Electrical cables are also known to emit electromagnetic radiation albeit in minute quantities. Every little bit contributes to the big picture. If it can be avoided or minimise, then why not do it?

Conclusion: The bed is the place for the person to rest. Why not, make the bed the best possible environment for the person to rest. This is the place for the body to prepare for the next day.

Feng shui is a Chinese system of land management which developed with rise of Chinese civilisation, more than 40 centuries ago. Feng Shui Bedroom Color

Question you should ask when preparing Bedroom Colors. What color should we use for bedroom?

Generally, bedroom colors should be muted so as to create a truly restful environment.
Bright colors have the tendency to make the bedroom appear less relaxing than it should be.
However, the practice of Feng shui will always have people in mind. Depending on their birth signs, different color combinations may require to achieve a balanced of harmony.

Should all the Bedroom color be muted?

Our latest bedrooms, design and application will take into heavy account those that cater to modern approaches, motifs and trends. However, with Feng shui designs, what is basically considered here are the occupants.
So before choosing a paint to color the walls of the bedroom, Feng shui bedroom coloring will tend to consider the temperament of the occupants.

If there are many family members in the family, than what color should we used?

First, identify who is the breadwinner of the family. Color of the wall in the living room will follow the breadwinner of the family.
Second, if they are husband and wife, find a neutral color for the bedroom
Bedrooms are mostly places to rest and sleep. If this were the case soft color that is conducive to rest like blues, soft greens and pastel colors could be chosen as neutral colours.
Others though work better in the bedroom than any other place in the house. For this other colors apply.
For some, like the younger members of the household, a more cheery and vibrant color will be better suited. Whatever the choice maybe, it should always be considered that the choice of bedroom colors will still be conducive to rest as some colors for some people makes them restless, depriving them of sleep which a bedroom is primarily designed for. Feng shui bedroom colors should do the job of providing the activity that one desires in the bedroom while not compromising them the relaxation that is needed.

How to create a balance in color for both resting and creativity?

There are colors that spark creativity. If the chosen colors for the walls are neutral colors and those that tend to invite rest but the occupant wants it also to be a workplace, sometimes the colors chosen for the bedspreads are those that will spark creativity.
According to Feng shui, the colors yellow and orange will encourages activity and better focus. Beneath that should be a bed sheet that has a softer hue to encourage rest when the activities are done. When the activity in the bedroom is done not in the bed, the corners where one chooses to work most should adopt more vibrant colors.

Colors make statements. The colors used could signify love, peace, tranquility, boldness, creativity etc. Due to this, colors have to be adapted to the mood of the bedroom that the occupant wants to evoke. In prison, most of the cell colors are in pink which will calm down the mood of the inmates.

Eight Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - The Space Beneath You

The bedroom is meant for you to have at least 7 hours of sleep so that body and the mind can have a good rest. The person has to be ready, both physically and mentally, for the next day. One consideration for having a good sleep is an even flow of energy around the room.

Let us look at 8 different obstacles that can impede the smooth flow of energy, particularly on the floor. This can disrupt the good night's sleep. Where possible, avoid these situations in your bedroom.

1. Clutter left on the floor:

These are things or items that just left there for no particular reason. Perhaps, just too lazy to put it away. This cluttered environment reinforces the mindset of being disorganised and lazy. When you get rid of the clutter, you will immediately feel better after clearing it. Also, you will find yourself to be more organised in your life.

2. Piles of clothes:

There can be piles of clothes that are to be washed or just washed. There is nothing more untidy seeing clothes just lying around.

3. Worn Clothes:

Clothes to be worn again should be hung up. Clothes to be washed are to be put in the laundry basket. Newly washed clothes should be ironed or hang up soon after the wash.

4. Outdoor shoes:

These should not be worn in or left in the bedroom. The shoes tread on the dirt in the outdoors. There will be some residue on the shoes and some will be dropped off in the bedroom floor. The bedroom is a place of rest and meant to be kept clean.

5. Books & Magazines:

File the books and magazines; keep them off the floor. This symbolises the disrespect for knowledge.

6. Area beneath the bed:

The space beneath the bed should not be used as a storage area. This space is for the energy to flow around the body and the room.

7. Electronic gadgets & cables:

The use of portable electronic gadgets including mobile (cell) phones in bed, a recent development, is to be discouraged. These electronic devices emit an electromagnetic radiation which can disrupt brain function over the duration of the sleep (about 7 hours). Also, it is best if the electric cables to recharge batteries be kept away from the head area of the bed because of this electromagnetic radiation.

8. Dust and cobwebs:

Do not forget to clean and dust off the residue of the bedroom. If this has not been cleaned for a long time, there would be cobwebs.

The main point of this article is to reinforce the point that energy has to circulate around the bedroom so that a good night's sleep can be had. Also, an untidy bedroom reinforces the notion of disorganisation in the person's life. Every little bit helps in a person's life.

Easy Feng Shui For Your Living Room

For many people the living room is the main feature of their house. It is where any guests people have will be entertained but also where people like to relax and recharge. So it is important that the room looks good and has a relaxing feel to it. And there is a way to make any room flow nicely and have that relaxed feel to it, and that is to follow these easy feng shui tips.

Over ten thousand years old, feng shui is an ancient art of the Chinese, and something which has found popularity all over the world. The principal behind it is really simple. There is believed to be a constant flow of energy in nature, both positive and negative. Obviously you do not want the negative energy, and by arranging the furniture of a room in a specific way, you can turn this into positive energy.

As the sitting room is where the family will spend time together there is bound to be a lot of furniture. This can make it difficult to position everything correctly, but it is worth doing it. When a room has good, balanced energy, everyone who spends time in it will benefit from good health, a happy life and good fortune with money.

First of all, the living room should always be on the ground floor. And preferably, it should not be visible from the main door of the home. The personal rooms such as the living room and bedrooms should be as far away from the main door as possible. But these things are almost impossible to change after a house has been built.

One thing people use this for is to increase their wealth. How your furniture is positioned can have a direct affect on this. The left hand side of a room when standing at the entrance is where this area is located. If there is a second doorway there then you have bad energy. It represents a way for your money to escape through, meaning your wealth can slowly seep away. But this can be solved by placing a large plant there and keeping it in good shape.

You want the room to flow, so this means that all the furniture should be positioned in a way that does not obstruct the passage to any part of it. Now you should have all the seats facing away from the main door of your house and the room, but also facing away from any windows. You do not want two couches facing one another as this brings stress visitors who are strangers to each other. A good position for two couches is in the shape of the letter l.

You should not position your couches under the structural beams of the ceiling if they are visible. Feng shui dictates that this places pressure on the bread winners of the house hold, and will negatively affect your wealth.

Hopefully these tips will give you some idea of how to lay out your furniture. And if you do so, you and your family are sure to have healthy happy lives for years to come.

It should be a comfortable place, peaceful, a hiding place from the outside stresses of the world and everyday worries, even a place of romance. Take some time to follow along with these great feng shui bedroom tips to help make your bedroom your favorite place in the whole house!

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips: #1

Cluttered Space, Cluttered Mind

A well known and must do rule when using feng shui in any area is to get rid of that clutter. It gathers and piles up over time when we put things off, rush around, keep sentimental items around us or if we're just plain lazy. It happens to us all, but realizing that scattered piled up clutter and mess creates a energy trap that stagnates the flow of positive energy causing shar chi or bad energy should be enough for you to take control of it and clear that clutter away.

It basically serves as a blocking force when energy is trying to flow, stopping it and turning it bad. If it can't flow, the positive energy diminishes. It can weigh mentally and physically on us in our bedroom, causing restless worrying and a unsettled subconscious. So open that window, get some fresh air and natural light into the room and clear that clutter, letting the good energy flow its way through. Don't forget about all the mess under the bed too. Find a good storage spot for it or get rid of it. In feng shui, bedroom tips like these will not only help make your room a nicer, more inviting place to be, but it will do the same for your mind. Clear the clutter and clear your mind.

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips: #2

Where Should I Sleep?

If you have a full view of the windows and entrance to your room when lying on your bed, you're off to a great start to the correct feng shui position. Behind you should be a solid wall that symbolizes support and security for you. Never ever position your bed facing your door so your head, feet and doorway are in one straight line. This is known as the coffin position and will interfere with your sleep with it's negative energy patterns. Other things that can interfere with restful sleep are construction beams crossing above you, even mirrors, hanging mobiles or anything else that can hang over the bed. They can drain you of energy and take away those precious hours of rest we need to be healthy. If these kind of things exist in your home and can't be avoided you should look at employing some feng shui cures to counterbalance this bad energy. You can find more information on this on my website.

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips: #3

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Mirrors have reflective qualities that when used in feng shui can help to bounce energy, either good or bad around your space either out of the door or back into the room. In your bedroom however, reflective energy from mirrors will disturb your sleep. Although not recommended, if you do have a mirror in your room, make sure that it doesn't reflect you when you're lying on your bed, resting. If you share your bed with your partner, it's important that the mirror doesn't reflect th bed, you or your partner. This symbolizes more than two people in your relationship and can promote infidelity. It's best to remove the mirrors that break these rules to encourage a healthy, positive bedroom environment.

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips: #4

No Electrics in the Bedroom

In a harmonized feng shui bedroom, there should ideally be no electrical appliances to be seen. They radiate electromagnetic frequencies even when they're switched off and can lead to restless sleep. Some appliances seem like essentials to a room but if you do have them, try to minimize the amount you have. Put batteries in your clock radio and get rid of that TV and computer, the bedroom is no place for these even though it seems very convenient. Remove any plugs from their sockets when you're not using them and keep your head away from any outlets, at least two meters.

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips: #5

Colors, Decoration and Furniture

Strong, bright and bold colors in the bedroom are too much for the bedroom and will unbalance the energy leading to sleep problems. Calming colors and tones are much preferred to reflect the essence of the bedroom, a resting place. If you have a small room, use even lighter tones to give the illusion of a larger space. Larger rooms should make use of color tones that are a little darker, maybe only on particular walls to help make the space more cozy and comfortable.

Most bedrooms are not overly large, and adding furniture in there can lead to lots of blocked and stagnant energy which is the last thing we want. Limit the pieces of furniture in there, keep things in positions that complement the bed and that don't display poison arrows or sharp corners. Round edged tables and chairs for example would be much better. In the same light, bookshelves should also be avoid in the bedroom because of their protruding qualities. Although fresh flowers may seem like a great idea in the bedroom, they will stimulate energy in the room which will not help you sleep sound. The same goes for aquariums with moving water features or even pictures of water that will all contribute to vitalizing the energy disrupting your rest.

The feng shui bedroom tips we've shown here will not only create a peaceful space, physically and mentally, but it'll also give you long lasting hassle-free sleep in your intimate personal place of rest.

Use these great feng shui bedroom tips wisely and they'll help you to create your very own private sanctuary, your new favorite room in the entire house.

Sleep well!

Feng Shui Bedroom Tips - Bedroom Shapes and Size

The bedroom is a place of rest and peace. The human body needs at least 7 hours of sleep and this room is meant to be used for that purpose. There are specific requirements for the person to be rested and the methodology of feng shui can be used to design this room.

The pre-requisites of the room design are simple. The energy in the room has to flow smoothly and evenly. This means, obstacles on the floor and the space above have to be removed. What are the other requirements?

1. Bedroom size:

What is the appropriate room size for 2 persons to sleep? The appropriate size being 100 sq ft (10 sq m) to about 200 sq ft (20 sq m) at most. When the room gets too large, the energy does not flow properly. That is why an overtly large room feels empty. It lacks the cosiness or warmth.

In some countries, the size of the bedroom is just large enough to fit a small double bed. That is the economics of the situation. We have to make the most of what we have.

2. Shape of the Room:

The preferred shape is regular - either square or rectangular. With a regular shape, the energy can flow smoothly and evenly. There are no protruding corners for the energy to negotiate or turn. When there is an irregular shape like an "L", the energy cannot be distributed properly let alone flow evenly. Secondly, there is the issue of "Shar energy" coming from the protruding corner of the room. This energy is not good and the person will not benefit from it.

3. Drawer units and cupboards:

Try to position these units so that the overall shape of the room is regular (either square or rectangular). Position the full height cupboards so the edges do not point towards the sleeping body. Similarly with the drawer units and dressing tables.

Conclusion:

It is the application of common sense in the design of the bedroom. The rules are simple and when applied, they are effective. The net result is that you get better sleep. This is what matters.
